Born and bred in South Africa, the outdoors was always my playground and being out there made my passion and curiosity for wildlife grow on a daily basis. My career in wildlife started when I joined the air force. After my basic military training I chose a path of nature conservation. Assisting in managing and maintaining a small reserve on Makhado or Louise Trichardt Air Force base as it was known back then; wrangling snakes, doing game captures and game counts.

After leaving the air force I spent about a year in the U.K. working. Not being a city slicker, I returned and qualified as a professional field guide. Soon after I bought my first camera and started photographing nature’s beauty, which I am so privileged to see on a daily basis.  Since then I have guided tourists through the African bush and have worked in the greater Kruger area, the Eastern Cape and currently I am employed at 5 star luxury lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve as a guide and photographic safari guide sharing and photographing nature’s beauty with my guests!

Photography is not just about taking a photo but about building memories and sharing nature’s beauty and diversity, it’s a great tool to broaden people’s imaginations and awareness of our precious wildlife.
